Step

Há uns anos tive a brilhante ideia de levar alguns dos meus arquivos da licenciatura do sótão da minha mãe para casa. Claro que quando os quis arrumar de novo no sótão, o espaço já tinha sido ocupado com material importantíssimo (os sótãos estão sempre cheios de coisas importantíssimas das quais não sentimos a falta durante anos).

Agora, na casa nova, noutro acesso de brilhantismo, decidi arrumar o material da faculdade na parte superior dum roupeiro mas... sozinha! Era algo tão urgente que não podia esperar que o Pedro acordasse.
Assim, dossier a dossier lá fui subindo e descendo as escadas.
Acho que foi um acesso de culpa inconsciente por não fazer exercício físico e as pernas agradecem!

A few years ago I had the bright idea to bring some of university files of the attic of my mother home. Of course, when I tried to get back into, the attic space had been occupied with important material (attics are always full of important things which we do not feel the lack for years).

Now, in the new house, in another access of brilliance, I decided to get the material right at the top of a wardrobe but ... alone! It was something so urgent that it could not wait for Pedro to wake up.
So, file by file , I was up and down the stairs.
I think it was a fit of unconscious guilt for not doing exercise and my legs thank you!

  

Little Girl

Não temos bebés mas temos uma gata, a Naná. Por esta altura ou anda a explorar a casa nova ou a preguiçar...


No, we don't have a baby girl but we have a little cat. Her name is Naná and at the moment she is exploring the new house.. or lazing...
 

 

Holidays

Vamos estar de férias mas os posts continuarão! Nas próximas duas semanas, posts às 2as, 4as e 6as.

We'll be on holiday but the posts will continue! In the next two weeks, posts in Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Desde que saí de casa dos meus pais que não tinha banheira (na casa antiga tínhamos só poliban). Já tinha saudades de banhos de imersão!

Since I left my parents' house that I hadn´t a tub (in the old house we only had a shower). I was missing bubble baths!

Packing --> Unpacking --> Packing ...

É díficil de acreditar mas ainda não terminámos de encaixotar tudo.
Como a mobília do escritório ficou na outra casa, optámos por "ir trazendo" os livros mas está-se a revelar um processo complicado.
Já tive vontade de colocar os dossiers da licenciatura no ecoponto só para não ter que os transportar.

Peço desculpa pela falta de actualização do blog (fotos, principalmente!) mas anda mesmo complicado.
O nosso dia depois do trabalho varia entre encaixotar e desencaixotar.
No fim de semana regulariza.

It's hard to believe but didn't finished yet all packing.
As the office furniture was in the other house, we decided to "go bringing" the books but is revealing an hard task.By some moments, I desired to put all the university degree archive in the next recycle bin just to not have to carry him.

I apologize for the failure to update the blog (photos, mostly!) But even walking difficult.
Our days after work ranges from box and unbox.

Paiting ... Again

Estamos de novo com pinturas, agora na casa antiga! Como esta vai ser para vender ou alugar, não queremos que os potenciais interessados encontrem a casa esburacada.
Estamos realmente a ficar profissionais nestas pinturas.

PS. A partir da próxima semana estamos de férias, por isso, podem ponderar contratar-nos para pinturas (não, ok?)


We are back with paintings, now in the old house! As this will be for sale or rent, we do not want that potential buyers find the house full of holes.
We are becoming pros in these paintings.

PS. On next week we will be on vacation, so you can consider hiring us for painting (no, ok?)

Home in a Truck

Hoje (finalmente) foi o dia da empresa de mudanças levar os móveis.
Assim, por momentos, tive "toda" a minha casa dentro dum camião.
O elevador exterior até ao 7º andar é algo que mete respeito!

Today (finally) was the day the moving company to take the furniture.
Thus, at times, had "all" my home in a truck.

The exterior elevator to the 7th floor is something that gets respect!

KItchen

Não me perguntem porque tenho um varão de striptease na cozinha...eu também não sei!

Do not ask me why  I have a striptease pole in the kitchen ... I really do not know! 

Holy Kitchen!

Nunca pensei dizer isto mas: acho que tenho espaço a mais na cozinha! É possível?será que me vou arrepender de ter dito isto daqui a uns tempos?
A cozinha não é muito grande mas tem imensa arrumação e ainda uma despensa.
Para exemplificar, dei-me ao luxo de algumas extravagâncias:
- gaveta para acessórios de "festa" - velas, palitos para cocktail,...
- gaveta para acessórios de pastelaria - medidores, formas de bolachas, dispara-biscoitos,...

Dizem que uma mulher nunca é rica ou magra demais mas eu acrescentaria: nunca tem uma cozinha grande demais!

PS: Hoje à noite aparecem fotos da cozinha (deixei o portátil na casa nova com as fotos e ainda não tenho internet lá para enviar as fotos)


I never thought to say this but: I think I have more space than  I need in the kitchen! Is it possible?  Will I regret about having said this in some years?
The kitchen is not very big but still has a lot of storage space and a pantry.

As example, I gave myself the luxury of some extravagances:

- Drawer for "party" accessories - candles, cocktail sticks,...
- Drawer for baking accessories

As they say, a woman can never be too rich or too thin but I would add: and she never has a kitchen too big!

High Point

Alguns dos meus amigos planearam um interrail, outros a lua de mel, uma viagem à India ou mesmo uma viagem pelo país.
Neste momento, planeio... uma viagem ao IKEA!
De realçar a excitação do Pedro com esta viagem (ler em tom irónico, por favor) e principalmente a ansiedade pelo momento que implica levar os móveis para o 7º andar.
Novos desenvolvimentos em breve.

Some of my friends planned a interrail, others a honeymoon, a trip to India or a trip across the country.
Right now, I'm planning ... a trip to IKEA!
I like to enphasize Pedro's excitement with this trip (read this with ironic tone, please) and especially the anxiety for the moment that means getting the furniture for the 7th floor.

Find the Differences I - Living Room

Esta casa tinha algumas paredes que mais pareciam um passador, de tantos buracos que tinham (devido a quadros e móveis suspensos). Fica o antes e depois da sala de estar.

This house had some walls that looked like a sieve (a lot of holes due to hanging paintings and furniture).

A casa já está pintada! Tivemos alguns problemas técnicos com o quarto rosa por isso ainda não está concluído mas, é para breve.

Não posso deixar de agradecer a ajuda maravilhosa que tivemos. um grande Obrigada ao Zé, Beta, Lena e Fernando. Sem eles nunca teríamos pintado a casa tão rápido (nem tão bem!).



The house is already painted! We had some technical problems with the pink room so is not yet complete but is soon. 
I will post photos tonight.

I must thank the wonderful help that we had. A Big Thank You to Zé, Beta, Lena and Fernando. Without them we would never have painted the house so fast (and so good!).

Flower Power

Um dos quartos pertencia a uma pequena menina. uma das minhas tarefas foi retirar as flores da parede. Espero que amanhã já esteja branco. Espera-nos um longo fim de semana de pinturas!


One of the rooms belonged to a little girl so, one of my tasks was to remove the flowers from the wall. I hope that tomorrow is already white. Expected in a long weekend of painting!

Packing

 Bem, não são fotos muito sexys mas... é a nossa realidade agora...caixas e mais caixas... e não está nem 1/4 de tudo!

These photos are not very sexy but ... is our reality now ... boxes and boxes ... and is not even 1 / 4 of everything!

... Love and Dreams

Bem, vamos (eu e o Pedro, meu namorado) iniciar agora a nossa mudança de casa.
Espero ansiosamente por esta mudança há meses, desde que encontrámos A Casa.
Tenho vindo a reunir ideias e tenho idealizada na minha cabeça exactamente como quero cada espaço decorado.
Finalmente, chegou a hora de pôr em prática.

O objectivo do blog é contar a história da mudança, e, como uma imagem vale mais que mil palavras, vamos mostrá-la através de fotos.
Para nós, será uma maneira de mais tarde recordamos o que foi feito e as decisões que foram tomadas (e o porquê!!).
Para vocês, será um modo de, principalmente todas as pessoas que andei a "chatear" com a história da mudança e da decoração, irem acompanhando tudo o que tentei expressar por ideias.
Joana e Marta, um grande obrigada por toda a ajuda até aqui, e atrevo-me a agradecer desde já a que virá!

We (Peedro and I, my boyfriend) will start our home move.
I look forward to this change for months, since we found The House. Since then, I've been gathering ideas and I conceived in my head exactly how I want to decorate each room.
Finally, it is time to implement.
The purpose of the blog is to tell the story of change, and as a picture is worth a thousand words, let's show it through pictures.
For us, it will be a way to later recall what was done and the decisions made (and why!).
For you, is a way to, especially all the people "upset" by me with the history of change and decoration, track everything that I tried to express by ideas.
Joana and Marta, a big thank you for all the help so far, and I dare to thank you in advance for what will come!
I hope this blog will be interesting to you as so many have been for me and please don't inhibit yourself to comment and give your opinion.
As I am reading a few blogs in English, I want to aspire thant they also want to read my blog, posts will be written in Portuguese and English.
