Birthday Cake

Bem, isto não é só decorar e montar móveis.
Adoro cozinhar e claro que tinha de dar uso à minha amada cozinha.
O aniversário do meu irmão Francisco foi o pretexto para um dos primeiros bolos made in.

This is not just decorate and assemble furniture.
I love to cook and of course I had to make use of my beloved kitchen.
The anniversary of my brother Francisco was the pretext for one of the first cake made in.

Another day, I started a list with Marta, and I was scared!

Starting by the entry:
- The table is already ready
- The flower is being provided
-O arranjo de flores está a ser providenciado
- We would use wallpaper like the one of the  old house living room

Lego Time

Antes de mais, desculpem a ausência, mas não foi de todo possível "alimentar" o blog nestes últimos tempos...

O escritório já tem uma estante e menos caixas!
Ainda falta muita coisa mas estamos no bom caminho.
A estante não está na versão final, temos de standardizar umas caixas e arquivadores mas, sem dúvida é melhor versão do que a anterior, de caixotes.

First of all, excuse the absence, but it was not at all possible to "feed" the blog in recent times ...
The office already has at least one shelf and boxes!
Still missing a lot but we are on track.
The shelf is not the final version, we have to estandardize boxes and folders, but surely it's better than the previous version of cartoon boxes.

Acquisitions

Bem, não tem havido muito tempo para novas fotos (mas as caixas do IKEA já desapareceram)... por isso mostro-vos as nossas ideias para futuras aquisições.

Paint Lovers

Quando parecia tudo pintado, eis que decidimos pensar a dispensa (naquela do "já agora...").
O facto da cozinha ser a única divisão quase arrumada também nos estava a fazer uma certa confusão...pelo que precisávamos de mais desarrumação ainda!
Mas valeu a pena!


When it seemed all painted, here we decided to consider to paint the pantry.
The fact that the kitchen is the only division almost organized was also a bit confused... so we needed even more clutter!
But worth it.

Dressing Room - II

Algumas fotos do que já está arrumado...

Algumas constatações: 

- tenho de diversificar as cores de Inverno (saias e calças)

- porque é que tenho 5 (cinco?) vestidos tipo cocktail se cá nunca vamos jantar como as amigas do Sexo e a Cidade em NY? 

notas pessoais: 

- não comprar mais nenhum vestido deste tipo mesmo que seja fabuloso

- organizar uma (ou cinco?) festa temática com o dress code: Cocktail

Desculpem a qualidade das fotos...tenho de as substituir (a primeira parece que está deformada...)

There are some photos of the current wardrobe's state.

Some conclusions:

- I need to diversify Winter colors (skirts and pants)

- why do I have five cocktail dresses if here we never go out for dinner like Sex and the City girls in NY?

notes to myself: 

-don't buy more dresses of this kind even you find a fabulous one

- organize a (or five) thematic party with the dress code: Cocktail

Lembram-se do quarto rosa? É agora o meu quarto de vestir! Ainda não está completo, mas como não aparecia aqui há muito tempo, não resisti a partilhar.
Ainda falta muita coisa: arrumar a roupa, por as tais portas que trouxemos pelas escadas e outros pormenores, mas vou mostrando as evolução.

Do you remember the pink room? Now, is my dressing room! It is not completed yet (the doors that we got last week is for the wardrobes), but I will keep you updated.

Free Gym!

Ontem fomos ao IKEA pela terceira vez em duas semanas. Afinal, porque ir para esplanadas ou ver um filme à noite quando podemos ir ao IKEA?!

Agora, tentem resolver o seguinte sistema de equações:

- Chegámos a casa às 23.30 – não era hora de pedir ajuda a ninguém

- Comprámos três portas  (50 cm * 229 cm) para uns roupeiros (ver posts futuros) que não cabiam no elevador
- Moramos num sétimo andar

Solução: Eu e o Pedro levámos as portas para cima … pelas escadas.

Confesso que fizemos batota, levámos a primeira porta e depois, como era levezinha, para pouparmos uma viagem, levámos as outras duas ao mesmo tempo.

Ponho fotos quando tiver braços novamente e conseguir pegar na máquina fotográfica.

PS  Estamos numa onda de solidariedade, portanto, quem quiser fazer musculação gratuitamente e poupar na mensalidade do ginásio: não nos importamos de partilhar o carregamento das compras do IKEA da próxima semana.

Yesterday we went to IKEA for the third time in two weeks. After all, why go to terraces or see a movie at night when we have IKEA?!
Now, try to solve the following equations:

- We arrived home at 11.30 pm- it was not time to ask anyone for help
- We bought three doors (50 cm * 229 cm)  for a wardrobe (see future posts) that did not fit in the elevator
- We live in the seventh floor

Solution: Pedro and I took the stairs....

I confess that we cheated, we took the first door and then, as it was extremely light, to save a trip, we took the other two at the same time.

I will post some photos when I  get my arms back and be able to pick up the camera.

PS We are in solidarity mood, so, for those who want to do free weights and save on monthly gym: we do not care to share the next load of shopping at IKEA.

Puzzling

Bem, acho que fui optimista de mais! Achei que hoje ia ter fotos para posts a semana inteira mas... ainda não.
Pelo menos o quarto rosa já é branco (após quatro camadas de tinta!)...

Não há muito para mostrar mas há muito para montar! Made in IKEA, claro!

 Well, I think I was too optimistic! I thought today I was going to have photos to post all week but ... no.
At least, the pink room is now white (after four coats of paint !)...
There is no much to show but there is too much to build! Made in IKEA, of course!

Ausência

Desculpem pela ausência mas não têm havido grandes desenvolvimentos (ou desenvolvimentos interessantes, pelo menos!).
Também ainda não temos Internet em casa - só a partir de quinta-feira.
O quarto rosa levou mais uma camada de tinta mas ainda precisa de mais uma.
Novos desenvolvimentos brevemente.

Sorry for the absence but no major developments (or interesting developments, at least!).
Also we do not have Internet at home - not until Thursday.
The pink room had another coat of paint but still needs one more.

É dificil de acreditar mas isto é (vai ser) o nosso escritório...

De momento parece uma arrecadação (péssima) mas brevemente ficará o máximo :)

It's hard to believe but this is (will be) our home-office ...
At the moment looks like a basement but soon it will be the best:)

Painting Hangover

Voltámos de férias e já estávamos a ressacar de pinturas... 

No Algarve ainda tive uns pensamentos acerca de pintar a cozinha da casa de lá mas passaram.

O quarto das flores teve uns problemas técnicos e não foi logo pintado com o resto da casa.

Assim, como as saudades eram muitas, estamos no processo de transformar o quarto rosa em branco.

Tenho de admitir que o mérito é todo do Pedro, eu só me dediquei a colocar a fita nos rodapés e janelas, ele é que tem pintado tudo (já lá vão duas camadas e não está fácil).

We back from vacation and we were  hangover for painting...
In Algarve I still had some thoughts about painting the Algarve's kitchen but they gone away .
The flowers room had some technical problems and it was not painted with the rest of the house.
So, as we were missing paiting, we are in the process of transforming the pink room into white.
I have to admit that the merit is all of Pedro, I just dedicated myself to put the tape in the baseboards and windows, he has painted everything (two coats are gone and it is not looking easy).

Out of Home

We are currently out of Home.
We will be back on 5th October with new photos.

O estado actual da sala...Não é muito atractivo mas terá novos desenvolvimentos (a mesa está no sítio errado, vai ficar junto à janela).

The current state of the living room  ... It's not very attractive but  new developments are coming soon (the table is in the wrong place, it will be next to the window).

Há uns anos tive a brilhante ideia de levar alguns dos meus arquivos da licenciatura do sótão da minha mãe para casa. Claro que quando os quis arrumar de novo no sótão, o espaço já tinha sido ocupado com material importantíssimo (os sótãos estão sempre cheios de coisas importantíssimas das quais não sentimos a falta durante anos).

Agora, na casa nova, noutro acesso de brilhantismo, decidi arrumar o material da faculdade na parte superior dum roupeiro mas... sozinha! Era algo tão urgente que não podia esperar que o Pedro acordasse.
Assim, dossier a dossier lá fui subindo e descendo as escadas.
Acho que foi um acesso de culpa inconsciente por não fazer exercício físico e as pernas agradecem!

A few years ago I had the bright idea to bring some of university files of the attic of my mother home. Of course, when I tried to get back into, the attic space had been occupied with important material (attics are always full of important things which we do not feel the lack for years).

Now, in the new house, in another access of brilliance, I decided to get the material right at the top of a wardrobe but ... alone! It was something so urgent that it could not wait for Pedro to wake up.
So, file by file , I was up and down the stairs.
I think it was a fit of unconscious guilt for not doing exercise and my legs thank you!

  

Little Girl

Não temos bebés mas temos uma gata, a Naná. Por esta altura ou anda a explorar a casa nova ou a preguiçar...


No, we don't have a baby girl but we have a little cat. Her name is Naná and at the moment she is exploring the new house.. or lazing...
