The sky's the limit

Desculpem, desculpem! Estive tanto tempo sem dar novidades (de novo) mas tem sido por bons motivos (pinturas, idas ao IKEA e afins)!
Depois do chão, vieram as pinturas! Após (já devíamos ter aprendido a lição) vermos o exagero dos orçamentos apresentados, decidimos que, mais uma vez, íamos ser nós a pintar e, assim foi! Então passámos o fim de semana passado nas pinturas.
 Queria mostrar-vos o antes e depois quando estivesse TUDO concluído mas não consigo resistir a partilhar convosco como estamos agora.

Sorry, sorry! I've been so long without news (again) but it's been for good reason (paintings, trips to IKEA,...)!

After the floor, we had the walls to paint! After (we should have learned the lesson) be shocked with budgets presented, we decided that, once again, we were going to paint, and so it was! Then we spent the last weekend painting.
  I wanted to show you the before and after when EVERYTHING was completed but I can not resist sharing with you how we are now.

Ainda não consegui perceber quem é que escolhe as cores dos prédios (pelo menos aqui) porque são sempre uma coisa pavorosa! As nossas paredes eram cor de "cócó de bébé" (mudei muitas fraldas aos meus irmãos), horríveis, portanto!

I still can not understand who chooses the colors of the buildings (at least here) because they are always a dreadful thing! Our walls were "baby poop" color (changed many diapers to my brothers), painful!

Optámos por branco e cinza para fazer a ligação com o resto da casa. O Buzz andava curioso quanto ao que se estava a passar...

We chose white and gray to make the connection with the rest of the house. The Buzz walked curious in order to see what was going on ...

...e aprovou!

Acho que ficou o máximo e estou super orgulhosa do trabalho do Pedro (eu fui mais a assistente)!

 I think it looks very nice and I'm super super proud of Pedro's work (I was the assistant)!

 PS Acreditam que estes estores estão todos riscados dos saltos que o Buzz dá quando fica no terraço durante o dia? Detesta ficar sozinho e então temos este lindo serviço (vamos ver quanto tempo resistem as paredes...)

PS Do you believe that these blinds are all scratched from jumps that Buzz gives when he gets on the terrace during the day? He hates being alone and then we have this beautiful service (let's see how long the walls resist ...)

Painting Hangover

Voltámos de férias e já estávamos a ressacar de pinturas... 

No Algarve ainda tive uns pensamentos acerca de pintar a cozinha da casa de lá mas passaram.

O quarto das flores teve uns problemas técnicos e não foi logo pintado com o resto da casa.

Assim, como as saudades eram muitas, estamos no processo de transformar o quarto rosa em branco.

Tenho de admitir que o mérito é todo do Pedro, eu só me dediquei a colocar a fita nos rodapés e janelas, ele é que tem pintado tudo (já lá vão duas camadas e não está fácil).

We back from vacation and we were  hangover for painting...
In Algarve I still had some thoughts about painting the Algarve's kitchen but they gone away .
The flowers room had some technical problems and it was not painted with the rest of the house.
So, as we were missing paiting, we are in the process of transforming the pink room into white.
I have to admit that the merit is all of Pedro, I just dedicated myself to put the tape in the baseboards and windows, he has painted everything (two coats are gone and it is not looking easy).

Paiting ... Again

Estamos de novo com pinturas, agora na casa antiga! Como esta vai ser para vender ou alugar, não queremos que os potenciais interessados encontrem a casa esburacada.
Estamos realmente a ficar profissionais nestas pinturas.

PS. A partir da próxima semana estamos de férias, por isso, podem ponderar contratar-nos para pinturas (não, ok?)


We are back with paintings, now in the old house! As this will be for sale or rent, we do not want that potential buyers find the house full of holes.
We are becoming pros in these paintings.

PS. On next week we will be on vacation, so you can consider hiring us for painting (no, ok?)

Find the Differences I - Living Room

Esta casa tinha algumas paredes que mais pareciam um passador, de tantos buracos que tinham (devido a quadros e móveis suspensos). Fica o antes e depois da sala de estar.

This house had some walls that looked like a sieve (a lot of holes due to hanging paintings and furniture).

A casa já está pintada! Tivemos alguns problemas técnicos com o quarto rosa por isso ainda não está concluído mas, é para breve.
Logo à noite já aparecem fotos.

Não posso deixar de agradecer a ajuda maravilhosa que tivemos. um grande Obrigada ao Zé, Beta, Lena e Fernando. Sem eles nunca teríamos pintado a casa tão rápido (nem tão bem!).



The house is already painted! We had some technical problems with the pink room so is not yet complete but is soon. 
I will post photos tonight.

I must thank the wonderful help that we had. A Big Thank You to Zé, Beta, Lena and Fernando. Without them we would never have painted the house so fast (and so good!).

Flower Power

Um dos quartos pertencia a uma pequena menina. uma das minhas tarefas foi retirar as flores da parede. Espero que amanhã já esteja branco. Espera-nos um longo fim de semana de pinturas!


One of the rooms belonged to a little girl so, one of my tasks was to remove the flowers from the wall. I hope that tomorrow is already white. Expected in a long weekend of painting!
